Hey everyone!
How is everyone’s week going?
Can’t believe its already mid April! Gosh, time flies! I just have one more week of the semester left then summer vacation 🙂 So far have been doing well on my assignments so gotta keep that motivation and focus going for the final exam next Thursday.
Just wanted to write about another outfit of the day post which I thought you guys might enjoy! This one is a bit different in that I would like to share my outfit which I wore to a family function recently. As some of you don’t know, I’m from the country of India especially the South. I love the Indian culture and wearing the various colorful outfits that portray the beautiful culture. In Southern India especially, sarees are very popular dresses that all Hindu Indian women wear. They are a long garment made of cotton or silk and is draped around the shoulder/waist. There are so many types and different various shades of colors and borders making them very beautiful when any lady from any ethncity (not just Indian) wears them.
Here is a pic of my look with my purple sari and gold shiny border (its purple but looks blue in the pic haha):
Starting off with my first accessory are the earrings which we call Jhumkha’s and I got these from India:
I tried to match my jewllery and accessories with shades of purple and gold 🙂 Here are my bangles next: light purple as well as darker purple with gold.
Here is my darker purple necklace that my Mom bought for me from India! This is the closest I could get to match it with my outfit:
Those are all my accessories and of course, I used subtle makeup, red Maybelline lipstick, and a purple Bindi on my forhead as well!
I have a lot more Western as well as Indian style OOTD posts coming up so I really hope you enjoyed this post and liked my outfit and jewllery 🙂 Let me know below what you guys think ❤
An interesting post coming up tomorrow so stay tuned!
xoxo,
What a beautiful outfit! I love it 😍💜 Thanks for sharing with us!! It’s so cool to see clothes from the Indian culture; I know very little about that culture 🙂 I’m looking forward to tomorrow’s posts!
