Hey my lovely blog friends!
Hope you all are having a great start to the month of August! I’ve been trying to prioritize my work and have been engaging and catching up with posts on the blog/WP everyday for just about like half hour. I’ve read some amazing posts so am so glad to have such inspiring posts on my feed 🙂 I’ve also been working some more on my self-care list and got the time to focus on my organization tasks and got to rearrange some of my drawers and vanity this weekend. Will post those on my IG story very soon 🙂
So, for some random reason, I’ve been really into beauty products lately since I wanted to change up my makeup routine a little bit. The funny thing is that since I don’t wear much makeup, I was never into beauty reviews/products and what people were using but now I’m actually like really into it and got some awesome new products this week, so will share those with you soon! I actually watched some lovely beauty bloggers on YouTube and they def became a huge beauty inspiration for me ❤️
I wanted to share my review with you guys on a blush that I’ve used for the past 3 years (don’t worry, just finally got a new blush palette so will let you know my thoughts on that too). I haven’t done a product review in a long time so thought this would be a good one to write about for this week, now that it’s summer and blushes are a must have for this season 😊
If you guys haven’t already, feel free to check out my first review: eyeliners that I wrote a while ago. Link is below:
My First Beauty Product Review – Eyeliners 🙂
As you ladies know, blush is a must have for all the women out there. I love wearing blushes to give my cheeks the perfect hint of pink color on my cheeks for a nice flush and a subtle summer glow!
I bought the Revlon powder blush in the color Ravishing Rose. I’m not a huge fan of Revlon but wanted to give their blush a try. I’ve been using this for a while and I just love this pink shade. It’s a baby pink/ peachy color that gives you a nice fresh look when you apply to the apply of your cheeks! Here are some details of the product:
Packaging
The blush comes in a black plastic compact. It comes with a tiny brush to apply the blush powder. I don’t like the packaging that much personally because I wish there was a mirror and I feel that it’s a bit too small. It could’ve been a bit bigger but I guess it’s def travel-friendly. The brush is not my fave because it picks up way too much product and it doesn’t give a precise application when you apply to the cheeks.
Formula
It’s pretty powdery and has a lot of chunks of glitter which I personally don’t like. Like you can actually see so much glitter on my cheeks when I apply it. This shade particularly is a shimmer one but I feel that there is wayy too much shimmer lol and not a subtle one. There are 5 more diff shades that are also matte and satin which are:
1. Rosy Rendezvouse
2. Mauvelous
3. Naughty Nude
4. Oh Baby! Pink
5. Tickled Pink (Satin)
I haven’t tried the other shades but the colors are def pretty! Ravishing rose is def build able as you keep applying more but the glitter is just so obvious on the skin which is a bit too much for me.
These are the ingredients:
Talc, Mica, Red Iron Oxide, Black Iron Oxide, Yellow Iron Oxide, Titanium Dioxide, Zinc Stearate, Bixmuth Oxychloride.
This blush doesn’t have much ingredients and it didn’t break me out or irritate my skin as I have very dry and sensitive skin.
Pros
So, overall here are my thoughts on this blush, good and bad:
- Lovely colors/shades to choose from
- Works well for oily/dry/ and combination skin types
- Decent pigmentation
- Buildable
- Long-lasting
- Can be used as a highlighter for the high points of the cheekbones which gives a nice glow
- Lightweight and travel-friendly
- This rosy color gives a natural flush/look to the cheeks
- Reasonable Price – $7
- Phthalate-free, paraben-free, aluminum-free
Cons
- Brush that comes with it picks up a lot of product
- Powdery/Chalky
- A bit too much glitter instead of a subtle shimmer
- Packaging could be better (looking for a better brush and a mirror)
Also, I wouldn’t recommend this shimmery shade to people who have acne and large pores. I have textured skin and large pores and this def accentuates that because of the chunks of glitter. But this shade can be used as a highlighter or even an eye shadow.
Overall I would give it a rating of like 3.9/5. I wouldn’t say it’s my fave blush but def a good one to try and to have for days that you want a natural look!
So that is it for my Revlon blush review and hoping to post more beauty reviews in the near future.
Really hoped you guys enjoyed the post and helped you to get a better review if you’re looking for some new blushes to buy and add to your beauty collection!
Interesting posts coming up soon so stay tuned ❤️

Blush is probably one of my favorite beauty products to get. It’s always so fun to pick which color to get. I really like the shade of this one, perfect blush for summer time definitely. Lovely review dear. xx

It’s a really pretty colour. I’m like you and don’t want too much glitter or shimmer from a blush. Especially because of my skin. But it can be nice in the evening. Great review – it’s really informative. xx

Yeah the color is gorgeous and I felt that the shimmer was a bit too much since I have textured skin. It’s a good blush but I feel that there are better ones out there. I’m currently using the Elf blush palette and love it so far. Will post a review about it soon. What are some of your fave blushes?
Thanks girl, glad you enjoyed the post ❤️
