Hey everyone!
How is everyone’s week going?
Can’t believe its already September! Gosh, time flies! Hope y’all had a great Labor Day Weekend π
Ok, so I know I’ve been slacking on blogging for a bit. I’ve been kinda focusing on my career and doing some self-care/organization projects which has been occupying my time but def trying to keep up with your posts β€οΈ
Just wanted to write about another outfit of the day post which I thought you guys might enjoy! This one is a bit different in that I would like to share my outfit which I wore to a family event this past weekend during Labor Day. I love the Indian culture and wearing the various colorful outfits that portray the beautiful culture. There are so many types and different various shades of colors and borders making them very beautiful when any lady from any ethnicity (not just Indian) wears them.
This type of Indian ethnic wear is called Anarkali Salwar Suit in which you wear a long frock style top with a slim fitted bottom. It actually originated from Pakistan but many people in India wear it as well and as become so popular worldwide π
I got this outfit stitched in India and I just love this anarkali suit! I adore wearing these type of outfits as the details are just so intricate and beautiful and creates such an elegant look, bringing fashion to a whole new level β€οΈ
Here is a pic of my whole look and outfit:
Just look at those deets?! Love this combo of the golden yellow and the black! The intricacy of the designs are beautiful and I feel that it’s not too much yet it’s really grand and elegant to wear. This outfit is perfect for weddings or lavish Indian occasions such as reception or parties π
Starting off with my first accessory which are the earrings which we call Jhumkha’s and I got these from India:
These had a gold and black tinge to the earrings and thought this def gonna match with my golden Anarkali outfit π
Here is my black necklace with yellow border that I got from Macy’s. I didn’t have like an Indian style necklace but this is the closest I could get to match it with my outfit. Pretty, isn’t it?!
So, you gotta always wear some bangles with any Indian outfit haha! Bought these gorgeous black and yellow bangle set to go perfectly with my dress π
I found this really cute black stone clutch which I thought would complement my whole look really well:
Those are all my accessories and of course, I used subtle makeup, a red bold lip by Maybelline, Milani Highlighter and a black Bindi on my forehead as well!
I really hope you enjoyed this post and liked my outfit and jewellery π Let me know below what you guys think π

I love the detailing on the dress. It makes the outfit really unique and beautiful. And the jewellery and bag really put everything together – it all compliments each other. Yellow is such a pretty shade as well. I rarely wear the colour – maybe because I assume it doesn’t suit me, but it’s a really feel good shade. Lovely post girl! I hope everything is going well with your self-care projects. I would love to know more about it. x

Thanks so much girl! Always appreciate your feedback and glad you enjoy my posts, esp the OOTD and travel ones π Yeah I usually don’t buy yellow and don’t have much of that shade in my wardrobe but I just had to get this one as it was just gorgeous. Glad the whole look came out better than I had expected. Yup, my self-care projects are going well and will def share them on my blog very soon! Hope you’re having a lovely week so far π
