My Motivational Short Poem! :)

Motivational Poem

Hello my lovely blog friends! 😘

How is everyone doing?! Hope y’all are having a fabulous start to the month of June! Well, summer has almost started here in DC and the weather has hit its’ peak of 85 degrees so it’s all ready pretty burning up here lol πŸ˜…

So for Memorial Day weekend, I took a road trip visit to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania which is 4 hours from DC and yes Pittsburgh is where I was born so it was really nice to go back there after a while and tour around the city! I strolled along campuses, drove through downtown, and even attended a friend’s wedding πŸ™‚ Will be posting some pics on my next blog post so stay tuned since am sure you will def enjoy my experiences there πŸ’•

So today, I wanted to share with you a poem of mine since it’s been a long time that I posted some of my writings on here.Β  It’s just a short poem in which I tried to use some rhyming words into my poetry and wanted to do something diff rather than always writing nature poetry.Β  I guess you can call this a quote poetry in which I kinda made up my own motivational quotes but wrote them as a poem.

Here it goes:

Dress with Finesse
Strive to Thrive
Aspire to Inspire
Yearn to Learn
Above & Beyond: Express Love

Admire the desire
Reflect for more self-respect
Refuse to lose as you can enthuse with your breakthroughs
Believe that you can achieve.
Dream for greater self-esteem.

Dare to spark a scare.
Hop to get to the top.
Crave to be brave,
Express more to reduce any stress,
Finally, smile because life is just a trial πŸ™‚

Just wanted to think outside of the box πŸ™‚

Please let me know what you guys think of this poem? Am looking for feedback since I would like to leverage my skills and improve on my poetry over time πŸ’š Please be honest (If you don’t like, let me know on how I can improve). Really appreciate it, thanks 😊

Am trying to be more active in the blogging world, so def catching up with posts πŸ’—

Until next time,

  3. The poem is great! I’m really trying to take a more motivational approach as well because I feel so many of my poems have a sad undertone which doesn’t always reflect my mood. I’ll be looking out for your next blog post! x
